Club committee member Andrew Waling and a crew of club members will undertaking an epic journey at the end of this month.
They will be taking Andrew’s Foster Showman’s Engine ‘Lord of the Isles’ on a road trip 200 miles long. From Wisbech St Mary in the depths of the fens all the way to the Great Dorset Steam Fair. Hoping to complete the journey in two days the team are raising money for the charity Myeloma UK
Mylemoa is a cancer of the blood, a cancer that sadly claimed the life of Andrews grandfather; Frank several years ago
So for nearly £3,000 has been raised, including an exceptionally generous donation of £1,000 from the Great Dorset Steam Fair
