Christmas Dinner 2007
by Michael Pumfrey
The December social meeting of the East Anglian Traction Engine Society
at The White Horse, Pleshey, took the form of a Christmas Meal. Over
50 members and friends sat down to an excellent three-course meal provided
by the Pub. The main
course
was a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. There was also
a raffle, which was excellently organised by Maureen Pumfrey, who we thank
for her efforts. The proceeds of this will be used to pay speakers’ expenses
etc at social meetings in 2008. A vote of thanks must go to Pat Freeman
for the tremendous amount of work he puts into organising not only the
dinner, but the social meetings in general. We should also not forget the
Landlord, Landlady and Staff of the White Horse for providing us with such
a splendid venue.
