Thriplow Daffodil Weekend
with a Touch of Steam March 24/25th 2007
This was the 39th Thriplow Daffodil Weekend and in spite of the inclement
weather on the Saturday and the daffodils being past their best, it was
deemed a success. At least for the only traction engine taking part it
was definitely a Success. This being the name of the Ruston,
Proctor belonging to the Pumfrey family of Springwell Farm, Little Chesterford,
and steamwise it had the event all to itself. It attracted a lot of attention
from the public as it gently steamed away along the Thriplow main street,
doing its bit to collect donations to be shared by local charities within
the village and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
