Fowler Traction Engine Ada, No. 10373, made a historic trip in November 2005.  The 1905 DDD type compound agricultural returned to Hall Farm, Stetchworth, near Newmarket. It was here she worked from new when owned by Lord Ellesmere until she was laid aside in the early 40's and subsequently sold for scrap. OllieTaylor of Wimbish purchased the engine for preservation in 1947, and she is now owned by his grandson, David Gowlett.
As 2005 marked Ada's 100th Birthday, and to coincide with a school visit (which included David's son, Thomas) to the farm, David decided it would be appropriate to take her along for the day.

We picked her up from Wimbish that morning and, after causing complete mayhem in Saffron Walden High Street, arrived in good time. We were greeted by the farm manager as well as a number of photographers from various publications and some of the older estate workers who remembered steam on the Estate. The opportunity was also taken to pose Ada with the Estate's Claas Challenger Crawler, a real chance to see the ancient and modern - as the photographs show.
